Atlanta's slogan is the "The World's Next Great International City". All but a handful of Fortune 500 companies have national or regional facilities located in Atlanta. Additionally Atlanta is a Mecca for cultural activities, retail, entertainment, communications and transportation. The city regularly ranks as one of the top five convention sites. The Five Points area is attracting great interest as major non-profit organizations and Georgia State University fills up existing space. Also in this area and around Marietta St. loft-style living is projected for the future.
Atlanta City Schools are operated separately from Fulton County. There are also several outstanding private schools located within the city limits.
In addition Midtown is also a business hub and the heart of Atlanta's cultural life. Midtown is home to the Robert W. Woodruff Arts Center and houses the world class Atlanta Symphony, the Alliance Theatre and the High Museum of Art.
The growing number of young Atlantans who prefer an urban lifestyle has revived the older inner-city neighborhoods such as Midtown, Virginia/Highland and Inman Park.
