Allatoona Lake is located close to Interstate 75, which provides easy access to the city of Atlanta. Allatoona has traditionally home to many farms. Today the lake area still retains its very rural atmosphere. Only recently has there been a spurt of residential growth.

Most homes are under five years and their styles are mainly ranch or split-level. Prices of homes range from $90,000 to $180,000.

The lake offers many amenities to residents and visitors and includes swimming, boating, water skiing, fishing and camping. Also nearby are The Etowah Indian Mounds, and Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield.

Canton is one of North Atlanta's growing suburbs with a population of 5,360. Several subdivisions are popping up all over Canton, however it still maintains a rural atmosphere. It is becoming a bedroom community for people working in the Metro Atlanta area.

Despite the rural atmosphere huge shopping complexes and neighborhood strip malls are in close proximity.

Woodstock is located at the southern tip of Cherokee County and has a population of 6,568. Being in the southern part of Cherokee County makes it one of the most quickly developing areas in the county.

While maintaining its rural atmosphere, several new subdivisions are increasing in number. Home styles are mainly traditional and range in priced in the $100,000's. However some are still available in the high $90,000's.

Residents enjoy numerous recreational activities at the softball park, the Dixie Speedway, numerous tennis facilities, and at nearby Lake Allatoona.

Towne Lake is a master-planned mixed use community, which encompasses 4,000 acres. When it is complete it will have roughly 8,000 residents. Towne Lake is zoned for office, commercial, churches, schools, libraries and municipal facilities.

Homes in Towne Lake are protected by covenants covering architecture. The prices of homes range from the low $100,000's to the $400,000's.

Amenities include two 18-hole championship golf courses, swim and tennis facilities in each neighborhood and a 60-acre park with swimming, tennis, softball and soccer fields.
